Dominican exports towards European countries increased 21 % in 2010, what confirms an increase in the commercial exchange of the country with the European Union, after the signature of the Agreement of Economic Association (EPA) in 2008.

The ambassador of France, Roland Dubertrand spoke about this in a round of talks in the Chamber dominican-french Chamber of Commerce  (CCDF) that the exchange between the country and Europe is about 130 million euros (US$180 million),“of which 80 million euros are from the exports of France towards here, and 50 million euros Dominican exports to France
